| 5 cell phones/natures laws Link 1 | NATURAL LAWS This unit deals with the physical operation of the vehicle, the natural laws that govern car crashes and the injuries that result from them. Car design and vehicle capabilities as well as driving in adverse weather conditions will be discussed. |
| 6 emotions | IPDE (Identification, prediction, Decision and execution) This unit focuses on the mental aspects of driving and stresses the safety procedures and habits required to be a defensive driver. |
| 7 alcohol | ALCOHOL, DRUGS, EMOTIONS and DRIVING We will discuss the DUI laws, the physical and emotional effects of alcohol, as well as ways to prevent drunken driving. |
| 8 map reading | RECREATIONAL DRIVING This unit covers such diverse topics as map reading, car maintenance and interacting with special vehicle types on the roadway. |
| 9 insurance | INSURANCE AND THE LAW This unit explains the in's and out's of insurance and driver financial responsibility in Illinois. Violations, ticketing and enforcement are also discussed |
