The focus of this unit are the Illinois "rules of the road" and is
a prerequisite to driving in traffic.

All students must pass the state permit test in order to be
eligible for an instruction permit.

5 cell phones/natures laws Link 1 NATURAL LAWS

This unit deals with the physical operation of the vehicle, the
natural laws that govern car crashes and the injuries that result
from them. Car design and vehicle capabilities as well as driving
in adverse weather conditions will be discussed.
6 emotions IPDE (Identification, prediction, Decision and execution)

This unit focuses on the mental aspects of driving and stresses
the safety procedures and habits required to be a defensive
driver.
7 alcohol ALCOHOL, DRUGS, EMOTIONS and DRIVING

We will discuss the DUI laws, the physical and emotional effects
of alcohol, as well as ways to prevent drunken driving.
8 map reading RECREATIONAL DRIVING

This unit covers such diverse topics as map reading, car
maintenance and interacting with special vehicle types on the
roadway. 
9 insurance INSURANCE AND THE LAW

This unit explains the in's and out's of insurance and driver
financial responsibility in Illinois. Violations, ticketing and
enforcement are also discussed
10 expressway  

11 everything to know for the 1st year.
