You can help your child with homework even if you do not know SPANISH!!!

If a student has "finished" the assignment during school...he/ she should STILL do 10 minutes of vocabulary practice nightly using flash cards or the

"fan fold"Eng-Span-Eng-Span method below:  "Ten-Words-a-Night"

Copy the Spanish Word from your text vocab list...copy the correct English translation...repeat twice...then have a friend/ family member ask you to SPELL the word/ translate the word.

Making Accent Marks etc on the computer:

On PC:

1.  To make accent marks   Press    Ctrl     and      ‘   together then letter you want the accent on… é  á  í  ó  ú

2.  Tildes:   Press Ctrl and shift and    ~  to get the….. ñ

3.  Upside down question mark and exclamation marks:  Press Ctrl  and  alt  and shift  and  ?  to get   ¿  ----  ?

On Mac:

1.  to make accent marks:    Press option   and   e    and the letter to be marked 

2.  Tildes:    Press    n    and press the  n again

3.  to make upside down question marks (and similar for  exclamation marks) Press option and  ?   and then ? again
