Thesis statement - Specifically, how do you feel about this bill. It should be passed or it should not be passed and why in one sentence. c. Preview your main points. 2. Body a. Any new points to bring up? Explain them to us. Evidence to support them? b. Refute or disagree with what a previous speaker said. Explain why and give evidence to support. c. Affirm or agree with what a previous speaker said. Explain why and give evidence to support. 3. Conclusion Restate your thesis and main points you covered. Finish with the story you began with.
