This scholarship was created to honor the memory of one of Conant High School’s most special young people. Carrie was taken from us, tragically, on October 28, 2000 in an alcohol-related accident. She was a dedicated student and a competitive athlete with an infectious smile, who cared more about other people than she did herself. Carrie looked forward to someday becoming a teacher and coach. This scholarship is being offered annually to students who plan on pursuing careers in education and who live a responsible lifestyle while supporting others who do the same.
This scholarship is sponsored by a concerned group of faculty and staff at Conant High School, other members of the Conant family, and with the help of other like-minded members of the community. Each scholarship will be a total of $1000.00. The first $500.00 will be paid for the freshman year of college. The second $500.00 will be paid for the senior year provided that the student is still pursuing a career in education.
