Cultural Anthropology Internet Research Project (Thanks to Mr. Stewart)
Purpose: To gain a better understanding of indigenous peoples Objective: To differentiate between indigenous cultures and analyze the variety of cultural universals in society Procedure: Using the Internet and the suggested websites (or your own), research the three indigenous cultures. As you research the cultures, find their cultural universal and complete the matrix. You will have two days in the computer lab to complete this activity. Follow Up Activity: Select three of the cultural universals that you think most accurately define a culture. Your task is to type an essay that compares and contrasts your three selected cultural universals of the three indigenous groups researched in this project. This will constitute the essay portion of the Cultural Anthropology Test and will be done in the computer lab during one class period. You may only have your matrix to use as notes. Grading: Matrix Sheet = 50 pts Essay portion of Cultural Anthro Test = 50 pts
