Ms. Serrano's Biography: Professional: I graduated from Hoffman Estates High School and went on to attend Illinois State University. After completing student teaching at Conant High School, I graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelors of Science in the Social Sciences. I am currently working on completing my first graduate degree in Geography and Environmental Sciences. This will be my 3rd year at Conant High School as a full time teacher. Extracurricular: This will be my 6th year as an assistant girl's track and field coach for the Conant Cougars, where I have coached the jumpers and throwers. The Cougars finished 4th in the state in 2007 (the highest finish in school history)! I enjoy most sports with track and field being my first love. In college I was fortunate to become a Division I, NCAA All-American. I also love to travel to the places I teach about, and have been able to visit 22 of those countries so far. 222 more countries to go! |
