Ms. Tajpuria's Senior Survey Introduction to Survey We spend about two to three weeks introducing the unit. we concentrate on a variety of things such as logic, methods of research, the scientific method, etc. Keep in mind that you need to pass Survey and LCAP in order to graduate! Also, we have added Lord of the Flies to Survey. This book applies to all aspects of Survey. Anthropology In this unit we look at human development from the physical and cultural perspective. This includes fossils, earth's time periods, and overall human development. In cultural anthropology, We study cultural universals and apply them to different cultures. There is an internet project where we research a few different cultures and compare them to American culture. Economics This unit focuses on economic philosophers, GDP, GNP, factors of production, supply and demand, and a variety of other aspects of economics. Political Science The factors of government, and various aspects of American government are discussed in the beginning of this unit. we also talk about political parties, elections, political participation, and other aspects of government. The Constitution test is taken in this unit. Sociology Sociology is the final unit of the year. In this part we discuss different aspects of society, culture, various relationships, marriage, and family.
