This class is designed for students who wish to work on strength and conditioning. The program is setup for four days of strength training and one day of cardiovascular training every week. Students will learn proper lifting form and will see the benefits of our eight week program. Safety instruction will be provided before weight training begins. Students will be taught how to spot their partner and use the equipment in the weight room. On cardiovascular days students will be provided with Polar Heart Rate Monitors. These monitors have been part of our curriculum for five years. Students will get a refresher on how to use the monitors. Students are able to track their heart rate during their workout as well as the duration of their workout. Each student will be required to be in their target heart zone for 25 minutes on cardiovascular days. Students will understand the benefits of cardiovascular training after taking this course.
