Attitude and Respect

School is what YOU make of it. If you approach it with a negative attitude, it will be a negative experience.

Disrespect of any kind will not be tolerated. That means any disrespect directed toward another classmate or myself. Fortunately, no two of us are exactly alike. Therefore you must learn to be respectful and tolerant of others.

Attendance

In order to be successful in High School, you must be in school. If you miss a day it is your responsibility to find out what you missed. Per district policy, you have one day for each day missed to make up missed work. If you miss a lab, you may be given an alternative assignment to do in place of the lab.

Grades

Grades consist of 50% tests and projects and 50% homework, labs, quizzes, and in class work. Homework is to be turned in on the day it is due. Work turned in one day late will receive only half the credit it would have received. No work will be accepted more than one day late.

If you complete all of your assignments it would be difficult to get less than a "C" in this class. However, if you do not complete your assignments, it will be difficult to do better than a "D".

Books and Supplies

You will each be given a book for this class. It should be brought to class daily. At the end of the school year you must return that SAME book. You will be fined for any damages to that book while in your possession.

You should bring a pen, a pencil and plenty of paper with you each day. It is also suggested that you have a folder with pockets, a calculator, and a set of colored pencils.
