On November 5th, 126 Conant American History students participated in a hands on field trip at the Schaumburg Park District Volkening Farm (Spring Valley Nature Center.)  They experienced life on a 1880's Schaumburg farm.   Activities included baking pretzels, milking cows, making butter, tilling farm fields, making cider, etc.

                 It's too bad we can't eat the final product!                                                       Can't I just buy the milk at the store!
